”As the New Head of Secondary at Transylvania College, I take this opportunity to welcome you to Transylvania College.
My career to date spans 13 years, 10 of them being spent in England. In those 10 years, I have been a Head of Department & Head of House. I have also worked in Thailand for two years as a Deputy Head of Secondary at an International school.
My education philosophy is based on the idea that education is a means by which young people can better themselves and achieve their goals in life. It gives them skills that will prepare them for the rest of their lives and open doors that otherwise would be closed to them. I have been fortunate enough to help many young people during my teaching career to date and look forward to helping the students at Transylvania College.”
The unique structure of our school, with certain year groups following the National Curriculum for England and Wales (Years 7-9), and parallel classes learning according to the Romanian National Curriculum (grades 5-8) is maintained from primary school to middle school. The parents may choose the line of study which is the best fit for their child, according to long-term goals and personal circumstances.
In high school, only one choice of curriculum is offered, the students who apply for admission to Transylvania College’s Cambridge International High School going on to study the National Curriculum of England, in preparation for IGCSE and A-Level exams.
