Transylvania College Leadership Academy is a new concept of After School Clubs dedicated to children, teenagers, and adults of any age, with the aim of helping them develop a set of soft skills to use for life.
The most important skill for the 21st century has to do with the drive and ability to continuously learn, in order to be up-to-date with a fast paced world and to be prepared for all the challenges coming our way. The Leadership Academy reflects Transylvania College’s vision to create “a global journey for mindful leaders”, achieved by encouraging every participant to “Make a difference. Have a voice. Discover your voice.”
The Leadership Academy’s offer includes over 25 clubs, in areas like culture, science, languages or sports. The clubs are open to the entire local community, offering pupils from other schools the opportunity to experience the education provided at Transylvania College, the only accredited international British school in the area.
We aim to encourage lifelong learning interests and to address fitness, health and nutrition topics, all while attempting to bring communities together. All the activities organised by the Leadership Academy are structured, challenging, rewarding and tailored to individual needs and skills. Each new member will soon develop a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, good communication skills, good time management skills, resilience, team spirit and self-confidence.
All the students attending any of our after school clubs will be supervised until they begin their next after school activity or until their parents arrive to pick them up. In our waiting room, the students will have the possibility to read, do their homework or play, while being supervised by one a member of our staff. The waiting room is located on the ground floor of the school building, room AP01.
