Apply now for your chance to receive a scholarship for academic excellence at
Transylvania College | The Cambridge International School in Cluj!
An excellence programme in Romania aimed at supporting outstanding students from all over the country to unfold their highest potential throughout high school, following an international curriculum.
Irina Ghițuică from Timișoara and Daria Perneș from Oradea are the winners of the 2017 Transylvania College Scholarship Society competition, as their scholarships will cover their tuition fees for the next four high school years.
They were selected out of 15 eligible applicants from six cities, after a rigorous three-stage process: submitting an online application, an exam consisting of three different tests, and an interview with members of the Scholarship Committee.
We are no longer accepting applications for the Scholarship Society, for the 2017-2018 school year. We invite you to check our website regularly and stay up to date with announcements regarding the next phase of the programme, for the 2018-2019 academic year.
2016 - 2017
2017 - 2018
What is the Scholarship Society all about?
The school’s scholarship program was started in 2000 to offer students from various social backgrounds an excellent education and equal opportunities to build a successful future for themselves. Over the years, with the support of our partners and sponsors, we started changing the lives of more than 100 students and their families through this programme. Since our first cohort graduated high-school in 2014, six of the former scholarship students are spread out in Europe, pursuing careers in IT, Computer Science and Business in top Romanian and foreign universities of their choice, while they continue to amaze us with their accomplishments.
In 2015, with the expertise of the newly formed Scholarship Committee, the programme evolved into Scholarship Society, focusing more on empowering outstanding students from all over the country to reach their highest potential while receiving a commensurate education at the Transylvania College Cambridge International High School. Like that, we can pin Romania on the world map by discovering and educating its future inventors, artists, researchers, activists and leaders.
We intend to cultivate a genuine concern for supporting our country’s young talents and embed it into our culture, as the programme will expand with up to three new high school scholarships each year under the leadership of the school’s Board of Advisors, as Scholarship Society ambassadors.
