Transylvania College makes a strong contribution to the local community by creating a learning environment that promotes the understanding of multiculturalism, global issues and belief systems. We link many activities to social awareness. Our students and teachers are involved in a range of social actions, from raising funds for medical institutions - during Money Week our students raised money to buy medical equipment for the emergency ward of the local pediatrics hospital - to helping build homes for those in need, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Cluj.
We strongly believe that excellence in education may be achieved only as a partnership with the parents. That is why we provide multiple communication channels to the parents in our community and we ensure that we take into consideration their feedback and also their concerns. We consistently offer our parents opportunities to learn more about how we teach, or about how we approach certain activities. The parenting seminars and social events we organize throughout the school year are an excellent way to get to know each other and to welcome new members into our big Transylvania College family.
