The Romanian curriculum, complemented by extensive English teaching is offered in the nursery (starting at 20 months), kindergarten and the Romanian line for primary and middle school, up to grade 8. The Romanian line is fully accredited by ARACIP, with a maximum inspection score. BSO Inspection Results

On the British International Line, Transylvania College offers the National Curriculum of England from Year 1 (five-year-olds) through high school (14-18-year-olds). The Reception class, enrolling children who are four by the beginning of the school year, follows the Early Years Foundations Stage curriculum.

Transylvania College earned British School Overseas status in 2013, following a rigorous inspection from the UK’s Department for Education. The school has been reinspected in April 2016 and in February 2019, receiving an excellent inspection report. Here you can read the most recent report: March 2022. We are happy to share with you that we have successfully completed the third inspection that certifies our British School Overseas (BSO) accreditation. Transylvania College meets all the standards for British Schools Overseas with several areas being seen as well above the benchmark required by the UK Department for Education (DfE).
